About Taylor Higdon
Taylor Higdon is a self-taught artist from Minneapolis, MN. Many of his paintings are based on architectural and urban settings. By day, Taylor works as an IT professional. He is married and has two children, and a dog named Mango. He attends a small Reformed church called Redeeming Cross Community Church.
artist statement:
Included in much of my painting is the city environment. Why am I drawn to this? I see skyscrapers, warehouses, and other city buildings as one fulfillment of our image-bearing nature as God’s creation.
The will of our Creator is for us to partner in the stewardship of the world, in the work of perfecting and uplifting created things—to sub-create. Buildings and urban architecture are a reminder of this reality, and a steady theme portrayed in my art.
